Sleep Dentistry Prices & Costs

At The Centre For Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry as part of our competitive dental prices policy we provide sleep dentistry services at a comparatively lower cost of similar services in private hospitals. We offer state of the art facilities equipped with the latest dental, anesthetic and monitoring equipment to provide you with a quality and affordable service. In addition to our resident general and cosmetic dentists providing dental treatment with sleep dentistry prices that are cost effective, the centre is also open for use to other accredited dentists. Subject to accreditation, you may choose to have your own dentist provide your dental treatment at our facility under IV sedation or General Anaesthetic.

Sleep Dentistry Prices

Our sleep dentistry costs are split into three categories:

  • The Dental Treatment Fees
  • The Theatre/Facility Fee – $200 to $275 per hour depending on the specific requirements of your dentist. This is charged by the facility after the surgery based on the length of your procedure and recovery time.
  • The Anaesthetic Fees (Specialist Anesthetist) – Approx $650 per hour as a specialized outpatient service. This will vary according to the length of time of the anaesthetic and the time that the anaesthetist attends to you during pre-op and recovery. The anaesthetist bills this separately and a significant rebate for the Anaestheti Fee may be typically claimed through Medicare.

Below is an example of what is typical for the Anaesthetic component of Sleep Dentistry Prices, and indicative Medicare rebates for various procedures:

Procedure Anaesthetist Fee MEDICARE & SAFETY NET REBATE (Min. – Max.) ^ Out of Pocket Expense (approx.)
Sinus and Bone Grafting Only $3,200 $1,470 – $1,740 $900 – $1,400
Full Arch Implants $3,800 $2,030 – $2,300 $1,100 – $1,500
Full Arch Implants WITH Grafting $4,800 $2,830 – $3,100 $1,200 – $1,600

All Other Procedures:

Medicare Rebate: One third of fees up to the Safety Net, and then 80% of the balance

^ The rebates shown are provided as a guide only and may vary from patient to patient depending on safety net entitlements. As of 1 July 2012, changes introduced by the Government in the new budget may further affect your rebate entitlements. Please check any new conditions with Medicare and what your safety net is so as to accurately estimate the out of pocket expenses.
The above fees were correct at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice.
